Review: CIRCUS The Show

We check out CIRCUS The Show at the 2024 Adelaide Fringe!

WINNER – Best Children’s Event, Adelaide Fringe Weeklies 2021, 2023

After a complete sell out season in 2023, Circus has officially headed back to Adelaide. And it’s got a family spectacle that is not to be missed. Featuring world class illusions, tumbling acrobats, highly skilled jugglers, breathtaking and elegant aerialists, an endearing clown with his gigantic six foot balloon and enough sidesplitting comedy to send any grown man running for the toilet. LOL

What We Saw

Well, circus to show you did not disappoint. Watching my son sit on my lap and laugh hysterically was the highlight. He loved it. He loved gazing up at the lights, saying, Acrobats hanging down from the ceiling. The magician was truly remarkable and he couldn’t believe that he managed to make someone levitate. A little girl from the audience that got pulled up.

But I have to say, the clown steals the show. He was definitely my favourite. I don’t want to give too much away because there is a hilarious plot at the end, but it involves a giant, enormous six foot balloon and someone managing to do three things that we wouldn’t have thought possible with a balloon.

What Did My Son Think?

Henry (6 years old), What was your favourite part of Circus, this show?

“My favourite part is when the clown went into the balloon and smacked his bum.”

How did the clown fit inside a balloon? It was a pretty big balloon HAHA
