Andrew F Peirce (he/him) is an Australian film critic based in Boorloo (Perth) Western Australia. He is the winner of the Australian Film Critics Association award for Best Review of an Australian Film in 2019. Andrew is a passionate supporter of independent voices both on screen and behind the camera, and uses his website, The Curb, to amplify the voices of Australian filmmakers. In 2022, Andrew released his first book, The Australian Film Book Volume 1, which documented a year of Australian cinema and featured reviews and interviews with filmmakers. Outside of writing for The Curb, Andrew also regularly presents reviews for local radio stations, in between hosting Q&A sessions with filmmakers and running filmmaker panels at local film festivals. His work has also appeared in Metro, FilmInk, and Impulse Gamer.
