Perfectionism is a personality trait characterized by setting extremely high standards for oneself. Sometimes there’s nothing wrong with that, it can encourage us to go further, work harder, do more. But it can also cause us to be critical of our own performance, trigger fear and anxiety, and be a hinderance to our true potential.
Overcoming your own damaging perfectionist mindset is one thing, helping your children overcome theirs is another.
