Children need boundaries. Well we all need boundaries. 

Boundaries, essentially, are a form of self care. They create clear guidelines/rules/limits of how people should be treated. Boundaries honour our needs and wants so we feel respected and safe. They build self-esteem, help bring focus, enhance mental health, and develop independence.
