Bevan Jones, aka Bevo has a rich passion for sports broadcasting, Bevan’s portfolio highlights a vast array of media experience, including a wide range of interviewing, hosting and producing roles across both radio and on-camera formats as well as content writing.
Bevo is the host, producer and creator of ‘Legends with Bevo’. He has also appeared on 9Life in a television show called ‘Find Me a Dream Home’.
Bevo got his first break in September 2017 where he won a role as the Solo Breakfast Announcer and Producer of his own show on commercial radio in the Riverland.
In March 2018 he was back in Adelaide and this meant a new exciting project for him called ‘Chewing the Fat’, rebranded to Legends with Bevo in late 2019.
The concept behind ‘Legends with Bevo’ is that Bevo has a light hearted chat on-camera with past and present sports people, icons of the entertainment industry and those doing great things in the community.
Since that time Bevo has interviewed 140 of the biggest names in sport and the entertainment industry.
Bevo is also the host and producer of a SANFL focused podcast called Talking SANFL with Bevo and Smurf and is a Commentator and MC for Swimming SA and Football SA and has hosted various corporate events around Australia.
Bevo also has a passion for writing and has been a freelance writer for the AFL, SANFL, local soccer, NBL, WNBL and WBBL.
By way of background, Bevo has played and watched sport ever since he was a kid. I was a basketball umpire for ten years, and played basketball and Aussie Rules for over 20 years. I have also played tennis, cricket, volleyball and was a competitive swimmer in my younger years.
